Comp Day!

I have been caught up in a whirlwind of business and excitement since Saturday, comp day. I loved every moment of the day even though it flew past so very quickly.
It was so much fun just being apart of a show, being backstage, just the whole experience of it all was a dream come true.
I will say that I was the girl that shook the stage lol, I was trembling uncontrolably due to the adrenaline rush. I could't stop it no matter how hard I tried. It even caused me to loose my balance a couple of times. But I got through it with bruising anyone lol.
I had Alicia right next to me which was great. Alicia I am so very proud of you. You have come so far and achieved so very much and you looked stunning on the day.
Also a really big thank you goes to Andj. She was a huge help to me back stage and I am so very grateful.
So I still can't believe I placed second :-). It has been slowly sinking in over the last few days. What a wonderful feeling to achieve the goals you set out to achieve, and then the icing on the cake was my trophy.
All the girls in the Figure Novice Tall were really nice. There was 8 of us. It is so nice that we could all have a bit of a chat backstage right before we got on and support each other. The way I see it is we were all finalists because we made it there that day.
I can't wait for the professional pictures to come. I think we have to wait a little while for them. And also I can't to see what my score was. They will be letting us all know our scores.
Josh was waiting backstage for Alicia and I with open arms, he was so proud and that moment was priceless. Thank you Josh for your guidence.
I didn't go crazy with off plan eating afterwards, simply because I didn't feel hungry, to much excitement. I did have a skinny latte and my little muffin soon after getting off stage. Andj and Hilary were there and my proud hubby and son and a few of my friends. That night I felt like chinese food so we went out and enjoyed such a lovely evening.
A huge thank you to everyone who has wished me well. It means so very much to me. More then I can put into words.
Hi Deb,
You and Alicia were both marvellous. I can so relate to shaking and losing your balance - that nearly happened to me as well.
I wasn't hungry post comp either, though I wonder if those boston buns may have had something to do with it! Thanks for the carb up feedback - look what you did for my shoulders!

Wow, i just love your picture!
The contest tan I wore was DREAM TAN. I warn you ... have someone "experienced" to apply the tan. Stay cool (unlike me I had my tan applied in the ladies toilet ... urrgggh cramped! and I was perspiring profusely! Gerard had to calm me down in the warm up room 'cause if you heat up too much the tan "runs" and boy was my running!) Also, Gerard sprayed gold glitter on me (you can buy from the cheap shops). It's actually a gold glitter hair spray. That was sprayed all over me "just" before I ran on stage.
Sweet, your application looked great! Congrats again. xxx

Sunday is a busy day but lets talk on Saturday and see what is happening.
The smile is not leaving my face, it just wont lol. I am still over the moon with happiness. Also the disbelief that I am competing in the Nationals is consuming me. Nobody wake me ok, I love this dream im having :-).
