My Easter

I was having a terrific Easter weekend until Sunday morning. I was struck down with a bad fever, sore throat, back and neck pain. I finally got to the doctors yesterday and he tells me I have virus and to rest as there is nothing he can give me for it.
Most of you know I am on my last week of my program, so this has been ever so stressful for me. It is so hard to remain on track when you are sick like this. I haven't been to the gym until today (wasn't supposed to go in but I cant stand it anymore).
I feel bloated and fat and feel like a failure right now. I have worked so hard for the last 11 weeks only to come to this, please understand my frustration right now.
Even though JD said it's all still ok, god love him for his support through this, but I know it is not good right now. I feel so upset with everything right now.
I can't catch up in a week and it doesn't help that I will be away from tomorrow with no access to a gym. So I feel that it is all pretty much over for me. I sound negative and im sorry, I am still not feeling 100 percent.
I wont be online whilst Im away but will catch up with everyone's blogs soon.
See you when I get back.
Hope you get better soon. I hope that doctor didn't just Google what he thought you had like the doctor my husband seen the other day. No kiddin, he did Google it!!
I am sure that you will be fine for the end of your challenge.

Have you got any handy workout gear that you can pack and take with you ?? I sometimes take my gymball and those elastic straps so i can still get in some core work and alittle strength work :)
I know your stressed and nothing i can say will make you feel any better, But to me you are not a failure to me you have always been pushing through no matter and you know what this time is no different!! Just push through and give it all you've got!!

Thanks guys. But my problem is, is that im a perfectionist and this is not a perfect situation, why couldn't it have happened earlier in the program? Why now? I feel my body has now bloated up or something and it wont go away.
I will still work through this until the last day.

Hey Splice. Why not get push your program back a week and take some time to get better? You know it makes sense... We live in a less than perfect world afterall!
Thanks for your encouragement leading into Canberra recently. :)

Dont worry Debs - when you are sick your body retains everything it can to fight the virus - including water. Just go with the flow and put it in JD's hands and you will be all shiny and sparkly by the end of next week.

Hang in there Deb, was just listening to something today that made sense to me, focus on what you HAVE achieved not on what you have not.
I am sure you have made great progress over the course of your program and WILL continue to do so:)

About to get better...
When things seem to be getting worse, there's a good chance that they're actually about to get better. The night is often at its darkest just before dawn begins to light the sky.
When difficulties that have been looming break free and begin to run their course, the moment they will end suddenly begins to grow closer. When problems come out in the open where everyone can see them, that is when they are most likely to be solved.
When the challenges grow bigger, so do the opportunities for positive progress. When everything is going wrong, that's when you become the most highly motivated to make things right.
When the world looks bleak, do not despair. Instead, take the highly charged energy of the moment and turn it in a positive direction.
When the situation is at its worst, that's an excellent opportunity for you to be your best. That's when you can make the biggest positive difference.
The opportunities to move forward are always there, especially when they don't seem to be. When times are tough, that's when positive, focused action truly pays.
-- Ralph Marston
Hang in there sweetie, I know it's frustrating to get sick near the end of your 12-week challenge, but you need to remember that you have come so far!! This is just a small little speedbump in this big journey toward your first figure comp. There will be times where you're knocked down or wandered off path, but just get back on as soon as you can. Get well soon!! xxx

Splice - the hard work you have put in over the last 11 weeks will not diminish - Im a perfectionist also (100% Virgo)and can appreciate where you are coming from - but you are bloated and feeling yuck because of this flu - you WILL get better and you WILL get your results - I know you will - you wouldnt have it any other way ;-) Thinking of you xxx

My Dear Sweet Deb,
I'm going to leave you with this quote to think about for a minute.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall."
--Confucius
Then I'm going to ring you as I feel that you would benefit from a phone call right about now. :o)
