My Diet Reviewed


My personal trainer sent me a revised diet. He has cut back my meals a little more. I can only tell you that I freaked out when I looked at it and thought to myself how hard it has been for the last 6 weeks, and now, it's going to be harder.

My response to him was lots of sad and crying faces
Crying, about six of these lol. I said nothing.

So his response to that was "you should know by now, tears just make me smile more", and he added a smiley face.

But he also went on to say that after seeing the pictures i sent him two days ago that he could see the shadow of my abs but it wasn't good enough and he wanted a rock hard mid-section and we only have 4 weeks to go. Plus, this will give me an insight into the pain and ULTIMATE PLEASURE on competing.

So after reading this I was re-inspired (if that's a word). I will do this, I really want to make the finish line. The last few days I have been thinking about if it is all worth it. I know now that it is, because to stop now would be foolish, I would always regret it. And to start again, unthinkable.

So this leaves me with more determination to go, go, go. When he mentioned this was and insight into competing, I knew I had to keep going because that is my dream.

Looking at the revised diet I now realize the worst part of the change was me loosing one of my weex-bix in the morning for breakfast. Instead of three, I have two. So this morning I had two, and I was ok lol. So I am progressing through my day having a little less food with my meals. I think I can get my head around it, and succeed without anymore stress. (Let's hope). I only have 5 weeks to go, I don't want to blow it, and im not going to.





You can do this, after all it's only food right. Don't worry about tomorrow, just concentrate on getting through today. Tackle tomorrow when it gets here. I KNOW it's challenging, but if you think of food, drink water, if you feel hungry, drink water and if all else fails just drink water.

Keep your eye on the prize! :o)

I also brush my teeth after every meal, it's a psychological thing that works for me. When my mouth's clean and minty I'm less inclinced to want to eat unless it's actually planned. That and sugless gum helps me to keep my mouth busy without actually eating. There's a lot of trial and error involved but it's about finding what works for you.

The best advice eveer given to me was by lia and guess what it was WATER LOL and you know what it works wonders:)
It's so great to hear how focussed you are!!! It's hard to find the direction we want to go, and now that you have grab on and let the sweating begin;)

Water, water, water!! Oh, and the occassional cup of tea or coffee (but not too much coffee!!) This is where you find out if you have what it takes to compete. If you remember that this is a test to get you up onstage, you will power through it. By the way, I could have told you JD would enjoy rather than pity the sad faces... my coach is like that too!! If you cry, then they get a great deal of satisfaction knowing they have done their job properly... just kidding!!

Keep up the fantastic work Splice... after talking about water, I need to go and have a loooooooong icy cold glass of water!!

Water is the only way to go Splice cause it makes you go to the toilet about a million times a day and this too takes your mind off of food.

Water is readily available so their is no excuses.

The only time that I missed water was my last day before my photo shoot when I had to go through a depletion stage and only consumed 1 litre all day, this had to be included in any type of liquid whether tea, coffee or diet coke. It is so hard to restrict yourself of water when you know that it is always their for your convenience. This is one lesson that was hard to take, food I can restrict but water WTF.

You will do great- keep up with the great work, cant wait for your pics to be posted updated ones from start to six weeks would be great to see cause you do see loads of change in this small time.
