Hot Hot Hot

I am one of these people who simply love hot food. Chilli is my favorite addition to some of my meals. And here is what I found out about them...........
Chillis are loaded with vitamin A, a potent antioxidant and boost to the immune system. As the pods mature and darken, high quantities of vitamin C are gradually replaced with beta carotene and the capsaicin levels are at their highest. Due to these capsaicin levels, some believe that eating chillis may have an extra thermic affect, temporarily speeding up the metabolic rate, hence burning off calories at a faster rate.
And guess what? I am a fan of endorphins! The natural producing painkiller.
Endorphines
The release of endorphins lowers the blood pressure, a major indicator in heart disease, and has even been implicated in the fight against cancer.
Endorphins are best known to those who exercise a lot, and give rise to what is known as the 'runner's high'. Their release is caused by all pain, including that caused by chillies. Thus a dose of hot chillies will cause the release of these compounds, without any permanent harm.
I too am a chilli fan, the hotter the better, if I go out to a restaurant then I make sure that they make it flammin hot, if I am not sweating then it is not hot enough.
