Complete Turn-Around

I woke up this morning knowing I had a pretty challenaging leg day today, and after feeling drained yesterday all I could do was to try and focus on what I was needed to do.

So after a heavy hack squat which I was impressed with because there was an increase in weight today and I hit the number of reps required Roll, I then went on to do Lunges. I managed my first set, 8 reps being the required amount today. I was then standing there thinking "how the heck am I going to do that again"?
At that point in time a lady approaches me who I barely knew and said "oh my goodness you look great, you have changed a lot since I first saw you here". (I have been there for about 3 months).
She must have told me at least 3 times that I looked good and had improved so much.

I was so flattered I can't begin to explain. I then started my last set of lunges and before I realized it I had hit 8 reps, easily!

I then went on to complete my leg day with amaing results.

Boy, can you imagine how high my spirits are today, from that one comment today I was able to feel on top of the world, train hard, and have a positive reflection on everyone I have been in contact with today. It certainly has a snowball effect.

It's pretty amazing what the mind can do isn't it!

Lia xo

Gotta love those positive snowball effects! x

Thank you guys for popping in!

Yep, those comments can drive you to the next level and make you feel good and totally excited!

Mind over matter...amazing. Just like that song, like Eye of the Tiger when you feel like you can't run that extra mile and then you hear the song and next thing you know you have a second win.

Keep up the excellent work Splice!!

Shelly

I was just reading through your blog, I agree with you about the scales, they only make you depressed. Best to just take your clothing as the best judgement of how you are going. Makes you feel heaps better to know that your clothes are getting looser rather then standing on the scales and seeing that your weight has either not moved or you have put on more.

The best feeling I had doing my 12 week challenge was getting to my last four weeks and I went into gym on day to do some cardio on the tready and ended up having to do it on the bike cause my shorts were just bouncing off my hips, would have been able to finish on the tready if I had some bobby pins to pin my pants to my undies (have done before). Lol

Best of luck

Hi Shelly! Thank you for reading this and thank you for your support. I wish you all the best for you future goals too.

Tracy, that is a great feeling lol to have you shorts falling off you at the gym. Thank for the tip, I will get on the bike or buy a pair of shorts that fit.
Take care.
